But if you think about it this “Don’t fix it if it’s not broken” approach is actually what makes this stand out in the market. Competitions like the new Redmi Note and Galaxy A series have gone big on 5G hype which has shot the price up. Up until last year, we used to compare Realme’s number series with Redmi’s Note but the price difference is too high this year it does not make sense anymore. So, if you are looking for a good reliable budget phone and don’t really care about 5G, Realme 10 is the way to go. It does have its shortcoming, say the camera, but there are not many brands in the sub 15K segment for competition. Realme 10 fixes the biggest drawback of its predecessor — performance. That aside, there is hardly anything new on Realme's latest budget phone. While this "Don't fix it if it's not broken" approach doesn't sound that exciting, but it helps keep the price down. The new custom skin gets a new design, including a revamped control centre, textured icons with vibrant colours, and an improved Always-on Display (AoD). The new update also comes with Realme's Dynamic Computing Engine, which claims to offer the perfect balance between high performance and low power consumption. I honestly think that, besides the palm rejection and screen brightness issue, the Realme 10 Pro+ is a great phone for its price. It isn't top-notch at anything, but it's more than good enough for most customers. And, to add some sparkle, it's a beauty (in the Hyperspace colorway, that is). What worries me is that the remaining issues aren't that hard to fix. The ghost touches happen with 2.5D or curved screens, and the excessive dimming is present on no less than five different BBK devices (from OnePlus, Oppo, and Realme) I used in the past few years, almost surely with different ambient light sensors. So, why isn't the company making some effort to get this kind of thing sorted out? When I get my hands on the 11 Pro+, I'll try to find out.

Apologies if I sound like an advertisement here, but I am fairly impressed with how far smartphones at this price point have generally improved over generations of just wanting the next big flagship device from the whichever big manufacturer for two to four times as much. Now that chipset downgrade may discourage some power users interested in this device locally, and may even take away its flagship-level status but when it comes to real-world use, honestly that really didn’t matter to me.

Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd. Voor kantoor, internet, beeldcorrectie- en videomonteringswerk zijn deze grafische chips nog steeds bruikbaar zonder enige beperkingen.
ARM Mali-G57 MP2:
Geïntegreerde grafische kaart uit het middensegment met 2 clusters. Gebaseerd op de Valhall architectuur.
Qualcomm Adreno 619:
