However, in the price-to-performance range, there are not too many candidates in the $200 to $300 range that are more complete than the Poco M6 Pro. One thing is clear: the hardware team has to have a great day to be as good as the major league players, but parts of the team perform above average and would also deserve a regular place in a top team. This applies to the display, the memory sizes, and—under perfect conditions—the main camera with OIS. MediaTek's mid-range motor is not in the best condition, but it plays its part with confidence. The Poco M6 Pro is therefore not a designated gaming handset, but works perfectly in everyday use.

If we still had to express some wishes, a better chipset would probably be up there. While the Helio G99 is not necessarily strapped for power, it features compromises like 4G connectivity and 1080p video capture. Other than that, we weren't particularly impressed with the Poco M6 Pro's camera capabilities either, but it's not a dealbreaker. The same goes for the omission of HyperOS and the latest Android 14, both of which Xiaomi has promised to deliver as soon as possible, whatever that means. On the flip side, we enjoyed the 120Hz AMOLED display on the Poco M6 Pro. It gets plenty bright, especially for a budget device, and Xiaomi's software refresh rate handling is quite good.

ARM Mali-G57 MP2:
Geïntegreerde grafische kaart uit het middensegment met 2 clusters. Gebaseerd op de Valhall architectuur.
Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd. Voor kantoor, internet, beeldcorrectie- en videomonteringswerk zijn deze grafische chips nog steeds bruikbaar zonder enige beperkingen.

Helio G99:
ARM-gebaseerde octa-core SoC met 2x grote ARM Cortex-A76 kernen en 6x kleine ARM Cortex-A55 kernen, die energiezuinig zijn. Dit alles is geklokt op 2,2 GHz. Het heeft een geïntegreerde LTE Cat-13 (4G) modem en een ARM Mali-G57 MP2 grafische kaart. Vergeleken met de vorige Helio G96 is de G99 vervaardigd volgens het nieuwste 6 nm-proces en heeft hij hogere frequenties.

6.67": Er bestaan maar weinig smartphones met een groter scherm.
Grote schermformaten laten hogere resoluties toe. Details zoals letters zijn groter. Anderzijds is het energieverbruik lager bij kleine schermdiagonalen en de toestellen zijn kleiner, lichter en goedkoper.

77.57%: Dit cijfer is niet echt overtuigend. Het moet in acht worden genomen dat er bijna geen laptops zijn die een score onder de 60% hebben. Dit notebook is beneden gemiddeld beoordeeld, en is niet aanbevolen te kopen.
