From the moment that phones like the first-gen Galaxy Z Fold and Huawei Mate X started failing, it looked like the foldable phone was just another short-lived gimmick. People looked at images of broken foldables on social media and said “Well, so much for that.” However, smartphone companies like Samsung and Motorola pulled this form factor out of the ashes, and companies like Oppo and Vivo helped push it forward. The foldable phone has come a long way, and the Vivo X Fold3 Pro is a testament to this. This phone shows just how far this form factor has come in the last five years. It excels in so many areas from the display to the design to the build quality to the speakers, and so on. It’s a fantastic phone and it’s honestly one of my favorite devices that I’ve reviewed. I can’t recommend the Vivo X Fold3 Pro enough!

Charging speeds leave rivals for dust, and its cameras are second to none in the foldable world. Both screens are a treat for the eyes. Vivo isn’t a class leader on the software front, though, lacking the productivity-boosting features found in the best foldables. The firm’s long-term update commitment is average at best, too. Then there’s the fact most Stuff readers are going to have to import it, which carries its own risks and doesn’t include any warranty. Buying one will take commitment, then – but those that see it through will end up with a fantastic phone.

Vivo:
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
Qualcomm Adreno 730:
Grafische chip voor smartphones en tablets die geïntegreerd is in de Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Qualcomm claimt dat deze 30% sneller is dan de Adreno 660 in de Snapdragon 888 SoC. Voor Android zou het eind 2021 een van de snelste grafische kaarten moeten zijn.
Qualcomm Adreno 740:
Grafische chip voor smartphones en tablets die is geïntegreerd in de Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Qualcomm beweert dat deze 25% sneller is dan de Adreno 730 in de Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 en de eerste benchmarks laten zien dat de GPU de Apple A16 iGPU (voorheen de snelste smartphone GPU) kan verslaan.
Qualcomm Adreno 750:
Grafische chip voor smartphones en tablets die is geïntegreerd in de Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Qualcomm claimt dat hij 25% sneller is dan de Adreno 7340 in de Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 en uit eerste benchmarks blijkt dat de GPU de Apple A17 Pro iGPU kan verslaan.

Integreert één "Prime Core" op basis van een ARM Cortex-X2-architectuur geklokt op maximaal 3 GHz. Drie andere prestatiekernen zijn gebaseerd op de A710 maar klokken tot 2,5 GHz. Verder zijn er vier energiebesparende kernen geïntegreerd die zijn gebaseerd op de ARM Cortex-A510 architectuur en klokken tot 1,8 GHz. Naast de processorkernen integreert de SoC een WiFi 6e modem, een Hexagon DSP (voor AI-versnelling) en een Spectra ISP. De geïntegreerde geheugencontroller ondersteunt snel LPDDR5-geheugen met maximaal 3.200 MHz. 5G is nu opgenomen in de chip met de Snapdragon X65-modem.

De geïntegreerde geheugencontroller ondersteunt snel LPDDR5-geheugen met maximaal 3.200 MHz. 5G is nu opgenomen in de chip met de Snapdragon X65-modem. Vergeleken met de niet-plus versie biedt de 8+ Gen 1 een 200 MHz hoger geklokte Prime Core en een 10% hoger geklokte GPU. Bovendien wordt hij nu geproduceerd bij TSMC en niet meer bij Samsung.

High-end SoC voor smartphones die eind 2022 werd geïntroduceerd met een snelle hoofdkern op basis van een ARM Cortex-X3-architectuur die draait op maximaal 3,2 GHz. Twee andere krachtige kernen zijn gebaseerd op de A715 en ondersteunen ook alleen 64-bit toepassingen. De andere twee A710-kernen ondersteunen ook 32-bits toepassingen, net als de energiebesparende Cortex-A510-kernen. Naast de processorkernen bevat de SoC een WiFi 7-modem, een Hexagon DSP (voor AI-versnelling) en een Spectra ISP. De geïntegreerde geheugencontroller ondersteunt snel LPDDR5x-geheugen tot 4200 MHz. 5G is opgenomen in de chip met de Snapdragon X70 modem.
