EN→NLLast month, smartphone company Vivo launched its S16 series. In the S16 series, Vivo also released S16, S16e, and S16 Pro smartphones. The Vivo S16 smartphone cost around $350 (Rs 29,590 in India) approx. The smartphone has 5G connectivity and also comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with HDR10+ support and the display has a better 120Hz refresh rate. The phone weighs around 182 grams, that’s is good in the hand. The Vivo S16 runs on the latest Android 13 OS with the Origin OS 3 user interface. For chipset, the smartphone equips a 7nm Qualcomm SM8250-AC Snapdragon 870 5G works better in daily tasks and gaming with Adreno 650 GPU. In the Vivo S16 smartphone, you get 8GB/12GB RAM support accompanied by 128GB/256GB/512GB internal storage. But the secondary card slot is missing in this smartphone. Let’s talk about camera performance, the Vivo S16 has a triple camera setup including a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP camera lens. The main camera setup can easily record up to 4K videos, while the front selfie camera comes with a 50MP selfie camera that gives you amazing selfies. The selfie camera can record 1080p videos at 30 fps, but both side cameras are missing gyro-EIS support. The smartphone also has a Li-Po 4600 mAh battery capacity that powers the smartphone, while 66W fast charging support is also present. Qualcomm Adreno 650:
Grafische chip voor smartphones en tablets geïntegreerd in de Qualcomm Snapdragon 865-SoC. Qualcomm claimt dat de chip 25% sneller is dan de Adreno 640 in de Snapdragon 855-SoC en over 50% meer compute-units (ALU's) beschikt. Voor Android zou het een van de snelste grafische kaarten moeten zijn in 2020.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

SD 870:
High-end SoC voor smartphones die medio 2020 is geïntroduceerd en is vervaardigd in 7 nm bij TSMC (verbeterde N7P). Integreert één Prime Core op basis van een ARM Cortex-A77-architectuur geklokt op maximaal 3,2 GHz. Drie andere prestatie-kernen zijn ook gebaseerd op de A77 maar klokken tot 2,42 GHz. Verder zijn er vier energiebesparende kernen geïntegreerd die zijn gebaseerd op de ARM Cortex-A55 architectuur en klokken tot 1,8 GHz.

Grote schermformaten laten hogere resoluties toe. Details zoals letters zijn groter. Anderzijds is het energieverbruik lager bij kleine schermdiagonalen en de toestellen zijn kleiner, lichter en goedkoper.
