Comme l’iPhone 8, le XZ1 est une énième itération d’un modèle à bout de souffle, complètement hors du temps. Son ratio taille/écran est aussi ridicule que celui de l’iPhone 8 à une époque où tous les modèles haut de gamme se dirigent vers du borderless. La qualité photo décevante vient finir de nous dissuader de mettre la main au portefeuille.

Sony has officially taken the wraps off of two new phones here in IFA, Berlin. Both the XZ1 and the XZ1 Compact feel like toned-down versions of Sony’s newest flagship smartphone, sporting similar hardware and camera tricks sans the 4K display. Unfortunately, the two phones don’t stray away from Sony’s established (read: dated) OmniBalance design technology, and at $700, faces stiff competition from devices launched earlier this year.

De meeste niet-veeleisende huidige games kunnen vloeiend draaien. Wees voorbereid op verminderde grafische weergave door lage detailinstellingen en lage resoluties. Toch verschaffen deze kaarten voldoende prestatie voor kantoor taken en video bekijken (niet voor HD videos).

Grote schermformaten laten hogere resoluties toe. Details zoals letters zijn groter. Anderzijds is het energieverbruik lager bij kleine schermdiagonalen en de toestellen zijn kleiner, lichter en goedkoper.
