Moet ik de Samsung Galaxy S10e, S10 of S10+ kopen?

Zoals verwacht zijn de toestellen niet goedkoop. Net als Apple maakt Samsung de toptoestellen steeds duurder. Een telefoon voor 1.599 euro vinden wij echt heel duur, maar toch worden ze verkocht. Als je per se een Galaxy S10 wilt hebben, maar je budget is beperkt dan is de Galaxy S10e de logische keus. Toch lijkt de reguliere S10 een betere prijs/kwaliteit te bieden. Voor 150 euro meer krijg je namelijk een extra cameralens, waardoor je optisch kan inzoomen met je camera. Verder krijg je een scherper, groter en gebogen scherm. Voor 100 euro meer heb je de Galaxy S10+, met een nog iets groter scherm, en een dubbele selfiecamera. Als deze twee zaken belangrijk zijn, dan is het uiteraard de moeite waard. Vind je normale selfies al mooi genoeg, dan is 100 euro wel veel geld natuurlijk.

Je haalt de Samsung Galaxy S10+ niet in huis vanwege zijn cameramogelijkheden. Hoewel de foto’s prima zijn en warme kleuren hebben, is het gebrek aan een goede avondmodus toch een kwalijke zaak. Ook kan de camera teleurstellen met bijvoorbeeld zijn groothoeklens, problemen die we niet zijn tegengekomen bij de Huawei P30 Pro. Daarnaast zijn we ook niet echt te spreken over de accu (zowel het opladen als de accuduur) en de plaatsing van de aan-uitknop. Die laatste zit namelijk veel te oog voor normaal gebruik.

Daarentegen heeft Samsung’s One UI nog wat werk nodig, hetzelfde geldt voor de vingerafdrukscanner onder het scherm.

Wie van grote schermen houdt kan de Galaxy S10+ overwegen, maar wij kiezen liever zijn kleinere broer.

Ik kan makkelijk de dag doorkomen op één laadbeurt en dat was bij vorige toestellen toch niet altijd even makkelijk als met de S10 Plus. Samsung levert jaar na jaar de beste schermen in smartphones en dit jaar is dat zeker niet anders. Ook de experts van DisplayMate noemen dit het meest accurate scherm dat ze ooit getest hebben.
