Qualcomm SD 685

De Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 (SD685, SM6225-AD) is een ARM-gebaseerde SoC uit het middensegment die vooral te vinden is op Android tablets en smartphones. Hij beschikt over 8 Kryo 265 kernen (eigen ontwerp, geschikt voor 64 bits) die in twee clusters zijn verdeeld. Een snelle cluster van vier kernen met maximaal 2,8 GHz (Kryo 265 Gold - Cortex-A73-derivaat) en een energiebesparende efficiëntiecluster met maximaal 1,9 GHz (Kryo 265 Silver - Cortex A53-derivaat). Beide clusters kunnen ook samen worden gebruikt. Volgens Qualcomm levert de SD685 ongeveer 15% meer CPU-prestaties en 10% meer GPU-prestaties vergeleken met de oude SD680 (dankzij hogere kloksnelheden).

Naast de 8 CPU-kernen integreert de SoC een Adreno 610 GPU uit het middensegment met een LPDDR4-geheugencontroller (dubbelkanaals) en ondersteunt hij Wi-Fi (802.11ac + MIMO, max. 867 Mbps), Bluetooth 5 en LTE (X11 LTE-modem met max. 390 Mbps download).

De SoC is geproduceerd in 6nm.
