De OnePlus Nord CE 2 is een prima smartphone met duidelijke plussen en minnen. Hij is lekker compleet qua specificaties en functies en biedt naast een goede accuduur ook een snelle oplader. Concessies doe je met het goedkopere ontwerp, het minder felle scherm en de beperktere camera’s. Dat OnePlus zijn softwareondersteuning laat verwateren, is een onnodige tegenvaller. Zeker in een tijd waarin concurrenten méér werk maken van hun updatebeleid. Al met al is de OnePlus Nord CE 2 een typische midrange smartphone, ook qua prijsvoering (369 euro). Voor mij is het echter onduidelijk wat het bestaansrecht van de Nord CE 2 is. Hij lijkt qua ontwerp, specificaties, plus- en minpunten en prijs namelijk wel erg veel op de Nord 2 die een half jaar eerder is uitgebracht. De Nord 2 is een fractie sneller, de CE 2 heeft juist weer een hoofdtelefoonpoort en micro-sd-kaartslot. Welke het beste bij jou past, hangt dus vooral van je voorkeuren af. Naar mijn mening had OnePlus het beter bij één toestel kunnen houden. Dat was duidelijker geweest.

Zoals je hebt kunnen lezen verliest OnePlus steeds meer zijn eigen gezicht. De 'Oppoficatie' van de OnePlus-smartphones komt alsmaar dichterbij en je merkt bij dit toestel dat de ziel van OnePlus langzamerhand aan het verdwijnen is. Begrijp me verder niet verkeerd, de OnePlus Nord CE 2 is geen slecht toestel. Het brengt met het super snel laden en de fijne software-ervaring ook nog een aantal sterke OnePlus-punten. Het toestel is echter in niets onderscheidend en blinkt nergens meer echt in uit. In dezelfde prijsklasse kun je namelijk smartphones vinden met betere camera's, luxer design, langere software-ondersteuning en snellere processoren. De OnePlus Nord CE 2 is daarentegen een prima allround-smartphone, die als totaalplaatje best goed is.

Dit toestel is op z’n minst de overweging waard.

So, unless you want the “OnePlus” experience, the Realme 9 Pro+ feels like your safest bet right now—whereas the Xiaomi 11i with its 120Hz display, Dimensity 920, and 108MP cameras is also a viable option in this price bracket.

Not much storage comes with the purchase (128 gigabytes), but for a rare occasion you can expand the space by up to 1 terabyte with an external memory card. If you have a few extra quids to spend on a mobile and you like OnePlus, you should buy the OnePlus Nord 2 instead. In fact, it’s the best mid-range OnePlus phone we’ve tested to date.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 doesn’t give you too many reasons to love it. Sure, the design is borrowed, but it’s an improvement over its predecessor. Likewise, the main camera is solid, it’s fast to charge, and the interface remains bloat-free. However, those aren’t big enough reasons to look past the glaring drabness of the Nord CE 2, and that’s before you factor in the outdated software, tinny mono speaker, and poor secondary cameras. As the Oppo-ification of OnePlus continues, derivative hardware is starting to become a theme. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 isn’t the worst phone you can buy for just shy of £300, but it does nothing to reverse the tide and is, unfortunately, yet another example of an uninspired budget smartphone from OnePlus amongst a sea of better alternatives. The Samsung A32 5G (£249) is still an easy recommendation that loses some processing power but melds quality cameras with a classy design and excellent software support. There’s also the Poco M4 Pro (£239) to consider with its IP53 rating, slick design, and superb battery life.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 does not do anything outstanding. At this price point, there are other phones like the iQOO Z3 and the Realme 9 Pro+ that offer better value. Both these phones bring powerful hardware, and the Realme 9 Pro+ also brings slightly better cameras. But then again, both these phones also have their fail points. For example, the iQOO Z3 does not sport an AMOLED panel, while the Realme 9 Pro+ loses to the competition in the design department. In comparison, the Nord CE 2 successfully manages to avoid falling into this trap. OnePlus' new mid-range device does not offer segment-leading performance in any of the main departments. In fact, it remains strictly above-par overall. But what the Nord CE 2 does right is that it does not fail in any of these departments. Be it cameras, general performance, or even gaming, it offers above-par results everywhere, thereby establishing itself as a good contender for your money -- even if not an outright winner.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is a very reasonably priced smartphone that gives those looking for an affordable OnePlus camera phone a viable option. The cameras capture decent photos that are perfect for sharing online but dynamic range and sharpness could be better and those who regularly capture photos with smartphones will probably notice the drop in quality when compared with more expensive devices as well as camera phones at a similar price point. There are some clever tricks built-in, though, such as the way the AI introduces bokeh without clipping and the Night Mode is pretty good, too. As with all OnePlus smartphones, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 offers a user experience that can't be ignored and for that reason, combined with the excellent price, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 will be worth taking a look at even with the few compromises you have to make simply because it's a more affordable smartphone.

OnePlus takes the wraps off new budget-price Nord CE 2 5G smartphone with 90Hz display and 65w Supervooc charger

Global technology brand OnePlus officially launched the OnePlus Nord CE 2 – a new €349 device that features a 90 Hz AMOLED display, OxygenOS 11 and 5G support. The firm said that CE stands for Core Experience and is really pushing the superfast charging in its marketing drive. The launch comes just weeks after the company’s 2022 flagship device OnePlus 10 Pro went on sale in China. That phone has yet to be launched in Europe but indications are that it will be landing in March. OnePlus Nord CE 2 features a flagship-standard 65W Supervooc fast charger that is actually manufactured by sister company OPPO. The company said that it provides the phone’s 4,500 mAh dual-cell battery with up to a day’s power in just 15 minutes – twice as fast as the original OnePlus Nord CE.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is good update to the original and if you haven't already bought the previous model, I'd say the new one is worth buying. It's basically a lower-priced Oppo Reno 7 without the spammy apps, which is not a bad deal. The Nord CE 2 offers a premium design, good performance, solid battery life, very fast charging, and decent cameras for still photography. Video recording is not its strong suit, but other than that, it's hard to complain. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is by no means perfect and there are a couple of features that are missing, that other phones in this segment do offer. These aren't deal-breakers but would have been nice to have. For instance, if you're looking for an IP rating for dust and water resistance, the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion (Review) is a very good option. On the other hand, if you need good stereo speakers, it would be hard to beat the Realme 9 Pro+ which starts at around Rs. 25,000.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is a reasonably well-featured and well-performing phone for the price. It has an attractive design, good display, relatively clean and simple UI with good performance, good main camera quality, decent battery life with fast charging, and even includes a few bells and whistles that have become increasingly rare, such as a headphone jack and expandable storage. The phone is also basically just the Oppo Reno7 5G with different software. While that may have been a valid strategy in the past, with the software between the two companies merging even that one difference wouldn't really be relevant in the future. At which point, why even have the two phones in the same market anymore. Moreover, why should the customer pick one over the other?

Leading the challengers is Xiaomi’s recently launched Xiaomi 11i, which comes with a larger 5,000 mAh battery, a 108-megapixel camera and a Dimensity 920 processor. Those willing to spend slightly more will also be tempted by the likes of the Realme GT and the Poco F3 GT, both of which come with Dimensity 1200 chips, and very eye-catching designs. At the end of the day, a lot is going to depend on how well the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G actually performs. It has the looks, but with those specs, needs to deliver more than just a core experience to make it big in the category.

If you don't mind the prospect of upgrading your phone in a couple of years, or getting stuck on an outdated Android version, then there's very little to put you off shortlisting the Nord. We love our premium flagship phones here at Tom’s Guide, including the OnePlus 10 Pro, which we can't wait to be made available in the U.S. and U.K. But it's good to ask why we're paying $1,000-and-up prices for flagship phones — devices like the Nord CE 2 help to put things in perspective. We need to spend more time with the OnePlus Nord CE 2, but early on, it feels like one of the best cheap phones I've personally tried. I don't know how long that will last, given that the Redmi Note 11 just launched, and the iPhone SE 3 is looming on the horizon, too. For now, though, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 is hoping to make a name for itself, and it seems off to a good start.

Geïntegreerde grafische kaart voor het middensegment met 4 clusters op basis van de Valhall-architectuur. 

De meeste niet-veeleisende huidige games kunnen vloeiend draaien. Wees voorbereid op verminderde grafische weergave door lage detailinstellingen en lage resoluties. Toch verschaffen deze kaarten voldoende prestatie voor kantoor taken en video bekijken (niet voor HD videos).
