De Surface Pro moet je niet zien als laptop of tablet, maar echt een uniek apparaat dat in feite je werkplek extreem draagbaar maakt. Maar daarbij boet je wel een beetje in qua werkcomfort, alhoewel het standaardje behoorlijk stevig en verstelbaar is. Het apparaat is krachtig en de bouwkwaliteit indrukwekkend. De prijs van het apparaat is echter alle perken te buiten en het is niet alleen suf dat de accessoires los gekocht moeten worden, ook deze prijzen zijn buitensporig hoog. Voor dit geld wil je op z’n minst een apparaat dat toekomstbestendig is, het gebrek aan usb-c-poort spreekt dit echter wel een beetje tegen.

The New Surface Pro certainly is a natural progression from the Surface Pro 4, rather than a massive leap forward. The seventh-gen Kaby Lake processors and extra battery life are well worthwhile, but to be expected. The additional flexibility of the kickstand is fairly slight, albeit not unwelcome. Hopefully the new Type Covers and Surface Pen will similarly offer some improvements.

Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
