Lenovo’s first attempt at making a flagship gaming laptop is an effort worth commending, it is one huge 17-inch gaming laptop I really won’t mind using it for work on the go, as it offers great performance and features that you really can’t find in other laptops for the price of RM12,999, things such as the mechanical keyboard, Core i7-7820HK processor, 32GB of RAM, the two PCI-e solid state drives and a G-Sync display will usually cost an additional RM3000 on competing laptops, which is why I won’t consider it to be an expensive nor affordable gaming laptop. The Lenovo Legion Y920 is meant for those who really wants serious computing and gaming power on-the-go with a decent battery life, and if you can handle that weight, you should consider this purchase.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" uit de Engelse legende, novo (Latijn voor nieuw) werd in 1984 opgericht als Chinees handelsbedrijf in computers. In 2004 was het bedrijf de grootste laptopfabrikant in China en, na de overname van IBM's pc-divisie in 2005, de op drie na grootste ter wereld. Naast desktops en notebooks produceert het bedrijf monitoren, projectors, servers, enz. en is het gespecialiseerd in de ontwikkeling, productie en marketing van consumentenelektronica, pc's, software, bedrijfsoplossingen en aanverwante diensten.

In 2016 stond het bedrijf op de eerste plaats in de wereld wat betreft computerverkopen. Dit was in 2023 nog steeds het geval, met een wereldwijd marktaandeel van ongeveer 23%. Belangrijke productlijnen zijn Thinkpad, Legion en Ideapad.

In 2011 verwierf het een meerderheidsbelang in Medion AG, een Europese fabrikant van computerhardware. In 2014 werd Motorola Mobility gekocht, wat Lenovo een boost gaf op de smartphonemarkt.
