De Legion 5 Pro is voorzien van alle hardware die je in 2021 mag verwachten; een Ryzen 5000-processor, een RTX 3000-videokaart en een 16:10-scherm met een hoge resolutie van 2560x1600 pixels. Het 165Hz-scherm is vlot en helder, maar het contrast had wat beter gekund. We missen ook een kaartlezer, maar het belangrijkste aan deze laptop is dat de hardware bijzonder snel is. Daardoor kan de Legion-laptop zich meten met een desktopsysteem. Helaas is de laptop op het moment van schrijven net zo slecht leverbaar als desktops met nieuwe AMD- of Nvidia-hardware.

80% Lenovo Legion 5 Pro review: Bargain for hardcore gamers

The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro does best what its supposed to do -- gaming. With the RTX 3070 GPU and Ryzen 7 5800H at disposal, this can do the latest titles at the highest graphical presets with ease, although you may need to dial down the resolution for keeping the frame rates around 60 fps average. While the design may seem c conservative for a gaming laptop, it makes up for it up with a great display. Most importantly, the Legion 5 Pro with RTX 3070 is selling at a bargain price of INR 1,70,000. The MSI GP76 and HP Omen 15 with Ryzen 7-RTX 3070 combo come close but Lenovo offers double RAM at 32GB and an industrial design. If you have got this much money to spend on a gaming laptop, you have to consider the Legion 5 Pro.

The Legion 5 Pro is an excellent laptop in so many ways. The main draw is the 16-inch 16:10 screen, which is bright and beautiful, even if just standard gamut. The appeal doesn't end there either. The build quality is excellent, the battery life is above average and the performance is about as good as it gets at this weight class, plus the price is right too. My only nits to pick are with my palms accidentally brushing the trackpad and the slightly mushy keyboard, which are minor. We'll get in-depth in the detailed review down below.

Even if you compare it with other gaming laptops from ASUS ROG, Predator, or MSI in the price range, I'd still choose the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro because of features like the 16:10 aspect ratio. Also, the ports for most gaming laptops are either on the left or right side, so having them behind is a bonus for me. That said, if you prefer desktop PCs, you're better off in the long run with building your own PC using that amount of money.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" uit de Engelse legende, novo (Latijn voor nieuw) werd in 1984 opgericht als Chinees handelsbedrijf in computers. In 2004 was het bedrijf de grootste laptopfabrikant in China en, na de overname van IBM's pc-divisie in 2005, de op drie na grootste ter wereld.
