Intel Celeron 6305

De Intel Celeron 6305 (of 6305U) is een energiezuinige dual-core SoC voor laptops en Ultrabooks op basis van de Tiger Lake-U-generatie die in het derde kwartaal van 2020 werd aangekondigd. Hij integreert slechts twee Willow Cove-processorkernen (2 threads want geen HyperThreading/SMT). De kloksnelheid is vastgesteld op 1,8 GHz, aangezien de chip geen Turbo Boost ondersteunt. Dankzij de architectonische verbeteringen van de CPU-kernen zou de Celeron 6305 nog steeds sneller moeten zijn dan de oude, op Comet Lake-U gebaseerde Celeron 5205U (1,9 GHz, geen Turbo).

Een andere nieuwigheid is de geïntegreerde Xe grafische kaart op basis van de volledig nieuwe Gen 12 architectuur. Deze zou aanzienlijk betere prestaties moeten bieden in vergelijking met de oudere UHD Graphics G1 (Ice Lake). In de 6305U noemt Intel het gewoon UHD Graphics en het biedt 48 EU's.

Andere verbeteringen uit Ice Lake zouden ook in Tiger Lake geïntegreerd moeten worden zoals de AI-hardwareversnelling en de gedeeltelijke integratie van Thunderbolt en Wifi 6 in de chip.

De chip wordt geproduceerd in het verbeterde 10nm+ proces (genaamd 10 nm SuperFin) bij Intel dat vergelijkbaar zou moeten zijn met het 7nm proces bij TSMC (bijv. Ryzen 4000 serie).
