Intel i5-11600K

De Intel Core i5-11600K is een high-end desktop CPU gebaseerd op de Rocket Lake architectuur. De CPU biedt 6 cores en 12 threads geklokt op 3,9 - 4,9 GHz (alleen Turbo Boost 2.0). Als alle cores worden gebruikt, kan de CPU maximaal 4,6 GHz klokken.  

De TDP is vastgesteld op 125 Watt (PL1, power limit sustained load), maar de PL2 is ingesteld op ongeveer 250 Watt voor kortstondige boosts (tot 56 seconden). 

De Sunny Cove processorkernen (bekend van de Ice Lake mobiele CPU's) bieden grotere caches en een verbeterde IPC (tot 19%). Verder bevat de chip ook (deels) geïntegreerde WiFi 6E en Thunderbolt 4. Het platform ondersteunt PCIe 4.0 en Intel DL Boost voor AI-versnelling.

Dankzij de snellere core-architectuur kan de 11600K de oude i5-10600K met ongeveer 20 procent verslaan. Daarom is de i5-11600K een goede middenklasse keuze voor gaming.

De snellere Rocket Lake-S CPU's integreren ook een nieuwe Intel UHD Graphics 750 die is gebaseerd op de huidige Intel Xe-architectuur (bijv. mobiele Tiger Lake) en 32 EU's biedt. In de 11600K is de GPU geklokt van 350 - 1300 MHz.

De CPU is gefabriceerd in het oude 14nm-procedé, net als de Comet Lake-voorgangers. Het stroomverbruik is niet zo hoog, als de Core i9-11900K, maar kan niet in de buurt komen van de energiezuinige Ryzen 5 5600X.
