De Intel Core i7-13700 is een snelle en relatief zuinige desktopprocessor uit de huidige Raptor Lake-serie. De processor werd begin 2023 geïntroduceerd en heeft een basisklok van 2,1 GHz. Hij bereikt tot 5,2 GHz in turbomodus. Net als Alder Lake-S is ook Raptor Lake-S gebaseerd op een hybride ontwerp dat P- en E-kernen combineert. Vergeleken met de Intel Core i7-12700 is het aantal E-cores verdubbeld naar 8, wat betekent dat de Intel Core i7-13700 samen met de 8 P-cores tot 24 threads biedt. De processor wordt nog steeds gemaakt met het 10 nm productieproces dat "Intel 7" wordt genoemd. Er is geen vrij selecteerbare vermenigvuldiger voor de Intel Core i7-13700 (in vergelijking met de snellere i7-13700K ) en de LGA 1700 socket die werd geïntroduceerd met de Alder Lake serie blijft als basis dienen.
Vergeleken met de Intel Core i7-12700 is de IPC van de nieuwe Core i7-13700 iets verhoogd. Tegelijkertijd leveren de 4 extra E-cores nu iets meer prestaties voor multi-threaded taken. Dit brengt de Intel Core i7-13700 op het niveau van een Intel Core i9-12900K die ook een totaal van 24 threads biedt.
De Intel Core i7-13700 is een processor met een geïntegreerde grafische eenheid. De Intel UHD Graphics 770 is echter alleen geschikt voor kantoorgebruik en zeer oude of weinig veeleisende games.
De TDP van de Intel Core i7-13700 is 65 watt in PL1. Intel definieert de PL2-limiet op 219 watt. Als de beperkingen met betrekking tot het stroomverbruik in het BIOS worden uitgeschakeld, kan de PL2-waarde permanent worden bereikt en zelfs worden overschreden met goede koeling. Hiervoor moet echter een hoogwaardige en krachtige koeleenheid worden gebruikt.
