Intel Core i9-13950HX
De Intel Core i9-13950HX is een snelle high-end mobiele processor uit de Raptor Lake-HX serie. Hij werd begin 2023 aangekondigd en is gebaseerd op de desktop Core i9-13000K met gecombineerde 24 cores en 32 threads. Acht snelle Raptor Lake prestatie-kernen (P-cores) geklokt van 2,2 tot 5,5 GHz (single core, all core boost 4,9 GHz) met HyperThreading en zestien Gracemont efficiency-kernen zonder HyperThreading geklokt van 1,6 tot 4 GHz. De 13950HX lijkt erg op de Core i9-13980HX maar met vPro Enterprise ondersteuning en een 100 MHz verlaagde boost van de P-cores.
Vergeleken met Alder Lake biedt Raptor Lake verbeterde P-cores (Raptor Cove micro-architectuur) met grotere Caches en meer E-cores (dezelfde Gracemont micro-architectuur). Bovendien ondersteunt de chip sneller DDR5-geheugen (tot 5600 MHz voor de 13980HX).
Prestaties
De gemiddelde 13950HX in onze database is in dezelfde klasse als de i9-13980HX en de i9-13900HX terwijl hij merkbaar sneller is dan de Ryzen 9 7845HX wat betreft multi-thread benchmarkscores. Dit is een zeer, zeer snelle chip, vanaf medio 2023.
Dankzij de krachtige koeling en een langetermijn CPU-vermogenslimiet van 145 W is de MSI GE78HX 13VH-070US een van de snelste laptops rond de 13950HX die we kennen.
Stroomverbruik
Het "minimaal verzekerde" stroomverbruik van de chip is 45 W, terwijl het Turbo-verbruik niet hoger mag zijn dan 157 W. Intel stelt voor om het "basis"-stroomverbruik in te stellen op 55 W, wat laptopfabrikanten niet echt verplicht zijn om te doen. De meesten zullen voor een hogere waarde gaan om betere prestaties te krijgen.
Deze i9-serie processor is gemaakt op Intels 4e generatie 10 nm-proces dat op de markt wordt gebracht als Intel 7 voor gemiddelde, vanaf begin 2023, energie-efficiëntie.
