Intel 2350M

De Intel Core i3-2370M is een dual-core processor voor laptops. Deze is gebaseerd op de Sandy Bridge architectuur en biedt Hyper-Threading aan om 4 threads tegelijkertijd te kunnen verwerken (door een efficiënter gebruik van de pipeline). Vergeleken met de snellere Core i5 heeft de i3 geen Turbo Boost voor de CPU en heeft daarom een maximale kloksnelheid van 2.3 GHz. Vergeleken met de Core i3-2310M biedt de i3-2350M een 200MHz hogere kloksnelheid.

Sandy Bridge is de evolutionaire opvolger van de Arrandale architectuur. De meest significante verbeteringen zijn de nieuwe AVX instructieset, de verbeterde Turbo Boost 2.0 (niet beschikbaar voor de CPU in de 2370M) en de geïntegreerde grafische chipset op de 32nm CPU core.

De Core i3-2330M biedt een geïntegreerde grafische chipset (Intel HD Graphics 3000) die duidelijk sneller is dan de oudere Intel HD Graphics in de Arrandale CPU's. Omdat de grafische chip geïntegreerd is in de CPU, is deze ook gefabriceerd op 32m, en deelt het snelle L3 cache met de CPU cores (via een nieuwe ring-bus). In de 2350M is deze geklokt van 650MHz tot 1150MHz (middels Turbo Boost). Snellere Sandy Bridge CPU's worden tot 1300 MHz geklokt (zoals de Core i5-2520M).

Verder is er een verbeterde dual-channel DDR3 geheugencontroller in de CPU geïntegreerd die gebruikt wordt door zowel de CPU als GPU. Deze ondersteund tot 16 GB DDR3-1333.

Door de verbeterde architectuur zijn de gemiddelde prestaties van de Core i3-2350M hoger dan een vergelijkbaar geklokte Arrandale Core i3 zonder Turbo Boost. In synthetische benchmarks zullen de prestaties ongeveer gelijk zijn met de Core i3-390M (2.5 GHz) en daarmee voldoende voor de meeste toepassingen.

De 35 watt TDP is inclusief geïntegreerde GPU en geheugencontroller.
