Intel i5-10500H

De Intel Core i5-10500H is een snelle processor voor laptops met zes kernen op basis van de Comet Lake-H serie (4e generatie van Skylake architectuur). De processor klokt tussen 2,5 en 4,5 GHz en kan tot twaalf threads tegelijk uitvoeren dankzij Hyper-Threading. Volgens Intel is de CPU vervaardigd in 14nm (14nm++) proces. 

De Comet Lake-architectuur is vergelijkbaar met Coffee Lake en biedt dezelfde functies en wordt in hetzelfde 14nm-procedé geproduceerd. Naast de verbeterde kloksnelheden ondersteunt de geheugencontroller nu ook snellere DDR4-2933 RAM. Meer informatie over Comet Lake en alle modellen en artikelen hierover zijn hier te vinden.

Prestaties

De prestaties zouden iets achter moeten blijven bij de oude Core i7-9850H met 6 kernen geklokt op 2,6 - 4,6 GHz (100 MHz meer dan de 10500H). De prestaties zijn dus goed geschikt voor veeleisende taken.

Graphics

De geïntegreerde Intel UHD Graphics 630 iGPU wordt verondersteld soortgelijke prestaties te leveren als de UHD630 in de Core i5-9300H. Als low-end oplossing zal het waarschijnlijk alleen huidige games vloeiend draaien op gereduceerde details - als dat al het geval is.

Energieverbruik

Intel specificeert het TDP met 45 watt en daarom is de i5 alleen geschikt voor grote laptops met goede koelingsoplossingen. Met behulp van cTDP-down kan de CPU ook worden geconfigureerd op 35 Watt, wat resulteert in verminderde prestaties.
