EN→NLIf you want a light and compact laptop that’s versatile, the Envy x360 14 ticks all the boxes. It’s light, solid, flexible enough to impress an origami master, has a superb OLED touchscreen and comes with a good pen. The speakers are mellifluous if a bit quiet, there’s a decent selection of I/O ports and the battery life is good by x86 if not ARM standards. Performance could be stronger, but it’s unfair to judge the x360 too harshly on that front when it isn’t far off the highly regarded M3 MacBook Air.

EN→NLAs specced, the HP Envy 14 x360 costs Rs 1,07,999 in India. For the price, the laptop sports a premium design and is outfitted with a class-leading display that is neck and neck with its Spectre counterpart. Of course, some niceties are reserved for the Spectre line, including various GlamCam features, a haptic trackpad, and a more powerful processor with a better iGPU. Even so, the Envy 14 x360 doesn’t feel like a stripped-down version of the Spectre, especially when you factor in that it costs Rs 80K less! All things considered, the Envy 14 x360 is a compelling option for consumers seeking a high-quality yet affordable convertible laptop with an OLED display.

EN→NLThe HP Envy x360 14 is a good laptop for general use and productivity. It has a great trackpad, a serviceable keyboard, 16GB of RAM in the base model, Wi-Fi 7 support, and the inclusion of a webcam shutter is a thoughtful extra. I’m also impressed by the slim profile and long battery life. The gorgeous OLED display is the primary selling point for this machine, though. It’s rare to see such a good screen on a laptop priced at just over $1,000. It’s not all good news, though. HP’s default power mode cuts performance noticeably, and you have to manually change that setting every time you need more power. That will cut into the strong battery life. It would also be nice if HP could reduce the number of pre-installed apps, possibly by centralizing all its settings in a single app instead of three. Still, this machine is worth considering if you need a compact, capable 2-in-1 laptop.

EN→NLThese days, it’s not hard to find plenty of performance, great build quality, and even spectacular OLED displays in laptops under $1,000. It’s one of the most important developments in laptops over the past year or so. The 2024 edition of the HP Envy x360 14 looks to join those ranks. It’s priced right, enjoys the Envy’s usual solid build, and has the increasingly common OLED display. However, it also has a lower-power processor that doesn’t make up for its lackluster performance with better efficiency. That makes it a less attractive option that only makes me more eager to see HP’s rebranded lineup within the Copilot+ program, which would fix both of these issues.

Intel Graphics 4-Core: Geïntegreerde grafische kaart gebaseerd op de Xe LPG-architectuur (vergelijkbaar met de speciale Arc GPU's, maar met de nadruk op efficiëntie). Biedt 4 Xe-kernen (64 Xe vector-engines) en 4 ray-tracing-eenheden.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

Ultra 7 155U: Een middenklasse Meteor Lake-chip die in december 2023 zijn debuut maakte. Deze Core Ultra-processor van de 1e generatie vervangt de Core-processors van de 13e generatie; hij beschikt over 12 kernen (2 + 8 + 2) en 14 threads. De Performance cores, waarvan er 2 zijn, draaien op maximaal 4,8 GHz, terwijl de Efficient cores, waarvan er 10 zijn (8 hoofdkernen plus 2 extra in het Low Power Island) op maximaal 3,8 GHz draaien. De 4-core Intel Arc Graphics, die net uit de oven komt, dient als geïntegreerde grafische adapter - deze draait op maximaal 1,95 GHz - en er is ook een groot aantal andere gloednieuwe technologieën beschikbaar, waaronder de geïntegreerde AI Boost NPU met twee Gen 3 engines voor hardware AI-werklastversnelling. Het basisverbruik van deze laptopprocessor is 15 W, met 57 W als het door Intel aanbevolen maximale Turbo-verbruik.
