Asus hasn't cut any corners when it comes to performance, and some might also find 18GB of RAM overkill. The crisp high-refresh-rate AMOLED panel, stereo speakers, and capacitive AirTriggers make gaming more engaging on this smartphone. However, camera performance isn't the best at this price, which could turn away people looking for an all-rounder. If you want a purpose-built gaming phone and you don't mind splurging, the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is the best you can get in the market right now. It does not have any direct competitors but you can get much slicker flagship phones at this price. If you don't want to spend Rs. 79,999, the base Asus ROG Phone 5 at Rs. 49,999 offers more value for your money.

EN→NLLike every gaming phone I’ve checked out yet, the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is stuck in this weird place of being a very capable device that somehow delivers on its many promises, yet it still doesn’t feel worth the money. For average people who play the occasional game, either directly from their phones or through game streaming services, buying a cheap clip to fasten a controller to your phone will probably be a good enough solution. There are also some comfortable controller setups for iPhone and Android (like Backbone’s Go and Razer’s Kishi for iOS and Android) that can turn most phones into more of a Nintendo Switch-like experience that requires less fuss and far less of an investment than Asus’ ROG Phone 5 Ultimate.

Just like it says on the exquisitely crafted box, the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate from ASUS is indeed the “ultimate” gaming smartphone of 2021. And not just by default, after the exit of Razer from the gaming phone space and the paucity of gaming-centric competitors in the North American market. No, the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is the king of gaming phones because of a potent combination of perks, polish … and panache. It’s a gaming phone that even filthy casuals like MrMobile can love – and love it, I do.

Qualcomm Adreno 660:
Grafische chip voor smartphones en tablets die is geïntegreerd in de Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. Qualcomm beweert dat het 35% sneller is dan de Adreno 650 in de Snapdragon 865 SoC en biedt een 20% betere energie-efficiëntie. Voor Android zou het een van de snelste grafische kaarten in 2021 moeten zijn.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
