AMD Ryzen 7 7730U
De AMD Ryzen 7 7730U is een processor voor dunne en lichte laptops op basis van de Cezanne-generatie. Hij maakt deel uit van de tweede "Barcelo" refresh begin 2023 en biedt dezelfde specificaties als de oude Ryzen 7 5825U . De CPU bevat alle acht kernen op basis van de Zen 3 microarchitectuur geklokt op 2 (gegarandeerde basisklok) tot 4,5 GHz (Turbo) en ondersteunt SMT / Hyperthreading (16 threads). De chip wordt gefabriceerd in 7nm bij TSMC.
De Zen 3 microarchitectuur biedt een aanzienlijk hogere IPC (instructies per klok) in vergelijking met Zen 2, maar blijft achter bij de huidige op Zen 4 gebaseerde CPU's (bijv. 7040HS-serie).
Prestaties
De gemiddelde 7730U in onze database zit in dezelfde klasse als de Ryzen 7 5825U , Ryzen 7 6800U , Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U en ook de Core i7-1360P wat betreft multi-thread benchmarkscores.
Dankzij de goede koeling en een CPU-vermogenslimiet van 30 W op de lange termijn, is de ThinkPad E14 G5-21JSS05C00 een van de snelste laptops rond de 7730U die we kennen. Het kan bijna 40% sneller zijn in CPU-gebonden werkbelastingen dan het traagste systeem met dezelfde chip in onze database, per augustus 2023.
Naast de acht CPU-kernen bevat de APU ook een Radeon RX Vega 8 GPU met 8 CU's op maximaal 2000 MHz. De dual channel geheugencontroller ondersteunt DDR4-3200 en energiezuinig LPDDR4-4266 RAM. Verder is er 16 MB level 3 cache (tegenover 8 MB bij de 4800U) op de chip te vinden.
De TDP van de APU is gespecificeerd op 15 Watt (de 5825U was gespecificeerd op 10 - 25W).
